We want to be upfront about how SoccerMapd makes money, so you always know what you are looking at.
The short version
SoccerMapd takes part in affiliate programs. That means some links on our product pages and elsewhere are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway. These commissions help keep SoccerMapd free to use.
How affiliate links work
An affiliate link includes a code that tells the retailer the visit came from us. If you make a qualifying purchase after clicking, the retailer pays us a small percentage. It does not change your price, and it does not require you to buy anything.
Programs we participate in
We participate in affiliate and partner programs run by retailers and networks, which may include the Amazon Associates program and similar programs operated by soccer brands and stores. Where a program requires specific wording, we include it: as an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Sponsored and featured listings
Separately from affiliate links, businesses can pay to feature a listing or product on SoccerMapd. Paid placements are labeled (for example, "Featured" or "Sponsored") so you can tell them apart from regular listings. Paying for a feature increases visibility; it does not buy a fake rating or a dishonest review.
Our standards
Affiliate commissions and paid placements never change the facts we show about a place, product, or program. We aim to surface gear and listings we genuinely think are useful to players, parents, and fans. If we would not point a friend to it, we try not to point you to it either.
